Gina Rest in Peace

Well she was sick. She has been sick for a couple of months. We noticed after our backpacking trip to Fossil Creek that she had been lethargic. We took her in to the vet for fleas, and they gave her some tests. Cancer. They gave her a month. A month later she got a bad infection on her leg that wasn' t healing. Friday the 13th was the day a piece of my heart died. She was the best dog. She never left my side. She would always be looking out for everybody to make sure we were all together during our hikes. Now she will be the first to look out for us as we cross over to the other side. We'll miss you Gina. I'll always remember your bright eyes, and wagging tail. We love you!

Go VW !

Here is Kristi's VW. We had pulled off the road in the Redwoods last year and caught some one taking this same picture of our van (with thier camera). So we figured we would take this picture with our camera. It turned out to be a nice shot.

Welcome

Hello all!

Welcome to my blog. I will be using this as a medium to convey anything from my feelings to my adventures. It will be as much a photo journal as soap box. If it does anything it will provide a message. It will be a message of conservation and a message of living and loving life. I hope it will inspire those who read it to go out there, plan it and live it. I also hope that it will motivate people to think critically how our actions and habits effect the planet. If not, at least enjoy some of my awsome pictures.

Here is a photo of Kristi (my girlfriend and companion) and my feet at Duck lake in the Sierra Nevadas. We loved it there, but we froze our butts off the next morning....
